Mike Imrie admits he is delighted to see his new half back partner in Worthing colours.

Scrum half and stand-in skipper Imrie will team up with Welsh playmaker John Firkin when Worthing host London One leaders Thanet Wanderers tomorrow.

The Sussex club will be anxious to bounce back from last week's humiliating 52-5 reverse at Havant.

Firkin, a daring runner who hails from Swansea, has been with the club before but never at the same time as Imrie.

The Worthing scrum half said: "I know all about him.

"He beat us single-handedly when he was playing for Effingham last year.

"He's a very good player and he has got the level of confidence you need from your No. 10.

"I'm just glad he is on our side this time."

Worthing are still missing key back row duo Jodie Levett and Dave Davies.

They make two changes to the front row where Simon Alcott returns at hooker and Ryan Storer replaces injured Raynn Bruce at prop.

Lewes look to make to three wins in a row when they visit old rivals Brighton in London Three South East.

Skipper Dave Hemsley scored three tries when Lewes thrashed their old rivals in a cup tie two weeks ago but he expects life to be tougher this time.

He said: "We know Brighton had a weakened side last time."

Neil Rumble is unavailable for Lewes so Liam Craig-Davies plays at full back and Huw James returns at outside half.

Chichester go to Maidstone while Bognor bid to end a run of three defeats in league and cup as they host Dartfordians.

Victory would be Bognor's first in five attempts against the Kent side and skipper Karl Flynn admitted: "We need a win."

Hove could be in for their first major test of the Sussex One season against Hastings and Bexhill.

James Finlason's side have piled up 145 points in their first two games but the skipper warned: "I expect Hastings to be one of the better teams in the league."

Haywards Heath do not have a National League game so they travel to Sidcup to support their second team.
