A West Sussex pensioner has admitted possessing child pornography.
Peter Best, 69, pleaded guilty to possession of indecent photographs of children when he appeared at Worthing Magistrates Court yesterday.
A second charge was dismissed when the prosecution offered no evidence.
The court heard Best, of Ontario Close in Worthing, had collected 12 photographs from magazines.
The case was adjourned when Lorna Lee, prosecuting, said police had been delayed in bringing the images in a suitable format to court.
Best was ordered to sign the sex offenders register. He will next appear in court on October 21 for sentencing.
