Former world singles quarter-finalist and world ranked No20 Tong Feiming is the top seed for the Sussex Open Grand Prix at Crawley.

Tong, who is still registered for Taipei but lives in Fareham, plays in the French National League.

Ryan Jenkins, the Welsh No 2, is expected to be the top seed at the event on October 18-19 unless an entry is received by this weekend from former European champion Andrzej Grubba.

Shoreham's James Denman, who is on the England under-13 ranking list, is out of action for three months after breaking his wrist when another boy fell on him on a bouncy castle.

His father Tony, who organises the 100-strong Brighton Community League said: "He will not be able to attend special training sessions in London for some time."

Tony Parsley, of the BACS club, is the new secretary of the Brighton League.
