Businesses can still apply for a grant to help get online.
Wired Sussex has been appointed by the South-East England Development Agency (SEEDA) to manage the reallocation of 100 grants to businesses and organisations in the region.
Small and medium-sized businesses and community groups can apply for grants of up to £700 to help establish a satellite broadband connection.
The cash will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis and recipients will be expected to provide Wired Sussex and SEEDA with feedback.
Companies must not already have broadband installed at another location.
State aid must not exceed £60,000 over a three-year rolling period and records of aid for the last ten years must be kept.
