Police are questioning a group of schoolgirls after a fellow pupil was assaulted on her way home from lessons.
The girl was walking home yesterday afternoon from Davison School, Selborne Road, Worthing, with a relative when the alleged assault took place.
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: "A woman and child confronted a group of three girls when the child believed she'd lost her purse on the walk home. We are investigating."
