If the owner of the cat in your article "Owner finds cat in freezer" (The Argus, September 19) had some form of ID on her cat's collar or, even better, had taken advantage of the microchip clinic the RSPCA runs every Wednesday at Patcham, one simple phone call could have informed her of the cat's demise.
I wonder if she had bothered to get him neutered, which stops cats wandering in the first place?
If people choose to own cats they need to accept responsibility for them.
