Horsham YMCA needed a 90th-minute spot kick to grab a 2-2 home draw with Selsey.

Tim Brown headed YM into an early lead but they failed to make the most of their chances after that.

Tim Fewster and Ryan Leather scored for Selsey against YM keeper Scott Kenward before Mark Francis won and converted the penalty.

Injury-hit East Grinstead beat Southwick 2-0 with debutant Dave Stares scoring a minute before the break from a Jim Horner corner.

Wasps manager Bobby Smith said: "I thought it was going to be one of those days. We were terrible in front of goal."

Substitute Ben Burns made the game safe when he rounded the keeper on 85 minutes.

Hassocks took the points from visiting St Leonards with a 2-1 win.

A Chris Hewitt free kick on 22 minutes found Pat Harding six yards out and the striker headed home to make it 1-0.

On 55 minutes St Leonards were reduced to ten men as Harding was brought down when clear on goal.

Five minutes later the lead was doubled as Micky Turner crossed from the left and Graham Beveridge slotted home from close range. Andy Cyrus replied.

East Preston manager Vic Short praised his side as they won 3-0 at Ringmer.

Simon Clayton opened the scoring when he finished from 18 yards following a Matt Huckett pass on 25 minutes.

East Preston had to wait until the 65th minute to double the lead when Dave Hall headed his first goal for the club from a Mike Huckett free-kick.

With ten minutes to go the visitors added a third with Hall again involved. The defender's corner was met by skipper Jim Smith who finished from six yards.

Short said "The lads were excellent and we thoroughly deserved the win."

Arundel hit form to score an impressively comfortable 5-1 home win over Midhurst in the John O'Hara Cup.

Gary Norgate's super finish gave them a half-time lead to which Miles Scerri added a penalty.

Jason Wimbleton's overhead kick, Danny McLaughlin and Russell Woods rounded it off with Chris Heighes replying.
