Horsham are poised to sign Ramsgate-based Stephen Beerling for their British League premier division team.

Beerling, 20, is a former Kent county player and his rating is about the same as Horsham's Peter Bartram.

It is a signing that will further boost Horsham's bid to reach the top half of the table, despite losing Ritchie Venner to Darlington.
