Falklands hero Simon Weston is to visit Worthing to discuss his experiences and how he has been able to rebuild his life despite his terrible injuries.
Tom Wye, of Worthing's Combined Ex-Services Association, has organised the event to raise funds for the Royal Star and Garter Home in Richmond, Surrey, and Gifford House in Worthing, which care for disabled ex-service men and women.
Mr Weston is vice-president of The Royal Star and Garter and devotes much of his time to supporting the home and other ex-service charities.
Star and Garter spokeswoman Belinda Cuthbert said: "He is an inspiration to young and old alike and his frank talk on his life and experiences is not to be missed."
An evening with Simon Weston will be held at the Dome Cinema on September 9 at 8pm.
