Albion will be wearing a new yellow away kit at Oldham on Saturday.

The change is necessary because the Seagulls' current black away strip clashes with the home colours of several teams in the Second Division.

The new yellow shirt dispenses with the club badge and instead sports the Seagull from the club crest above the new Skint logo.

Chairman Dick Knight said: "Everybody identifies the Seagull as being synonymous with the Albion and for the new away kit we wanted something fresh and eye catching. The new design is stylish and cleancut, without all the trimmings and panels you see on so many football shirts these days."

The shirt will be worn with yellow shorts and socks. Black shorts and socks will be worn when opponents' colours allow.

Albion fans keen to get their hands on the new shirts will have to wait. The official release date for the supporters' replica kit is Wednesday October 1 and fans can pre-order for delivery direct to their door on that date.

Knight explained: "The fact that we were only able to tie up the continued sponsorship with Skint Records in late June meant we couldn't finalise the design and begin manufacture until July. The production time of our suppliers, Errea, for the volume of shirts we require is three months."

Prices range from £60 for a complete adult kit down to £46.50 for children. To pre-order, fans can visit or call the Seagulls Shop on 01273 776969.
