I bought some smoked bacon (Maple) from a supermarket.

The rashers were seven-and-a-half inches long before grilling or frying.

On the plate the length was less than five inches, plus some scum which looked like egg white.

I wrote to the store manager - no response.

Then I informed the Trading Standards Office for advice - no response.

The consumer is a victim, treated with contempt.
