A landmark hotel in Hove has sold for more than £1.25 million.
The Sackville Hotel on the seafront celebrates its centenary next year.
Andy Lees, of estate agent Graves Jenkins, said: "This fine hotel has 45 en suite bedrooms as well as meeting rooms and conference facilities.
"In the past few years, it has mainly traded with placements from local authorities on a room-only basis.
"The new owner has exciting plans for its refurbishment and redevelopment and intends to turn round the business and restore the hotel to its former glory."
There was still a strong demand for hotels and guesthouses in the area.
