Here at Eventer Design in Hove we are fed up with the constant drilling from the Tesco store opposite - six months of it so far.

We had no choice in this and trying to deal with clients over the phone is almost impossible. It sounds like a war zone.

I bet Tesco won't apologise for the torture we endure. We just want it to stop. It is driving us mad.

Bob Carden critises my comments in The Argus (July 25) and I must reply.

Okay, the children have a nice new school but they don't have a nice playing field to go to at luchtime and for sports activities.

I am also not convinced Tesco will not see the death of George Street. The Waitrose end of Western Road is not exactly awash with shops.

He, like all his fellow councillors, only ever mentions residents - as if the workers in this city count for nothing.

Residents are not at home all day but we are at work and finding a place to park without the worry of £30 parking fines every two hours is an extra stress. We don't have free council parking spaces.

The area could have been put to better use than just big business. But money talks.
