Simon Battle's council spin suggests a great job is being done on traffic.
This could not be further from the truth. Brighton and Hove City Council's policy has caused more chaos than it has solved.
We have roadworks every year during peak season. Next, London Road is down to a single lane at Sainbury's.
Day-trippers can get into Brighton but can't get out, causing huge tail-backs.
The council allows car parks to close and be built on.
Has the parking problem been solved? No. More people have cars these days and trying to fit up to three cars per household into one space just doesn't go.
The car is here to stay and, until public transport becomes cheeper and more reliable, we will always have this problem.
Squeezing traffic into a smaller road network can only lead to less tourism and less business.
