There have been questions raised in the letters page of The Argus as to why the Government is wasting so much time over fox hunting when our public services are crumbling.

The reason is that it uses this issue as a tool.

Firstly, it dangled a ban before the electorate at two general elections to dupe the gullible into voting. It has since introduced a bill twice to distract us from its corruption scandals.

The fox hunting bill is currently doing the rounds because of the Mittal affair.

If you remember, Mr Blair rented out the British embassy in Romania to an Indian businessman, Mr Mittal, who wanted to buy the Romanian steel industry.

It was when Mr Blair was found to be abusing his position, the Government once more rushed out the anti-hunting Bill.
