E-commerce minister Stephen Timms has been in Los Angeles to help promote UK games firms.
The companies at E3 - the world's largest computer games fair - included Hove-based Babel Media and Wide Games, based in Brighton.
The UK is the third largest games developer in the world, after the US and Japan.
