Rye and Iden United need two points from their remaining two games to clinch the division two title after a 3-0 triumph at Shinewater last night.

A brace from Scott Price and one from player-manager Keith Miles in the second half edged Rye a step closer to the championship.

Rye are at Lancing tomorrow and they finish at Crawley Down on Saturday.

Leaders Eastbourne Town have finished their season and are relying on a major upset to make them champions.

Miles' side continued their push for glory with a 2-1 win away to Seaford last Saturday.

A late winner from Shaun Loft kept the title dream alive after Nick Stiles' 12th-minute opener had been cancelled out by Seaford's Adam Livings on the half-hour mark.

Rye have been behind their rivals all season in terms of matches played but they are now making their games in hand count.

Miles said: "We have known since Eastbourne slipped up back in March that it was in our hands. Going into the last week of the season we know what we have got to do."
