St Leonards manager Gary Bowyer believes his side are going to emulate Burgess Hill in the County League next season.

Saints, who are bottom of the eastern division, face being relegated next month regardless of where they finish after resigning from the league earlier this year because of financial problems.

Burgess Hill could replace them if their ground passes an inspection by Dr Martens League officials due to be held next Monday.

Bowyer is adamant Saints will bounce straight back up next season and thinks promotion for the Hillians will make it easier for his side to take the County League by storm.

He said: "We are going to do what Burgess Hill have done this year and win it by a mile.

"They will do us a favour if they go up because it clears a way for us to come in and win it. That is what I believe and that is what I have told all the players."

Bowyer has been watching County League games in preparation for next season and insists he has not seen anything to concern him.

"We are a massive club and we're easily going to be the biggest one in the County League next season. I have never been at a club which is winning every week and I can't wait for it.

"All the players are really excited too because it is a great chance for a lot of them to win something."

Phil Barber (back) is set to return for the trip to Histon tomorrow. Tristan Woods could also be involved after having the cast removed from a broken arm.

Relegation-threatened Hastings are at full strength for what manager George Wakeling has called a 'must win' game against Moor Green at The Pilot Field.

One league win in 21 games has left United six points from safety in the Premier Division.

He said: "We have got to win, it's as simple as that. Our performances have looked very promising during the last two games but we did not got three points from either of them."

In Ryman League division one south, Lewes have five players missing or doubtful for tomorrow's trip to Walton and Hersham.

Stuart Hack (back), Chris Dickson (ankle), Jon Palmer (knee) and Danny Wright (flu) are all doubtful while Joe Clark is still on the sidelines with a back injury.

Gary Charman (groin) is doubtful for Horsham's home game with Staines while Barrie Westgate completes a suspension.

Mark Knee (hamstring) is almost certainly out of Worthing's trip to Croydon Athletic.
