I have to voice my disgust and distaste with regard to the article on the "artist" Simon Ward (The Argus, March 20).
If this is art, heaven help us all.
If I was disturbed enough to wish to view the mangled and pathetic corpses of animals, all I would need to do would be walk the highways and byways of Sussex.
I certainly do not want photographs of the same foisted as some insane excuse for art.
Is it not bad enough some artists try to persuade us that human corpses are art without wishing us to view animals in the same light.
I despair when I think of the many young people with real talent who try in vain to break into the art world.
What may we expect from this artist when he wins yet more awards and is showered with money and adulation?
A few tastefully posed decapitated carcrash victims, perhaps?
If it is deemed acceptable to exhibit a photo of the corpse of a person's beloved pet cat, why not trample on the feelings of some grieving relatives, too?
Let us hope one day some good taste may be injected into the art world.
