Student Suvi Aronen, who was found dead on Thursday, planned to start a new life with her Sussex boyfriend when she graduated this summer.

The 23-year-old planned to move back to her native Finland with 24-year-old boyfriend Ben, whose parents are believed to live in Lewes. Police have withheld his surname.

Miss Aronen, who was expected to get a first-class degree in cultural and media studies at the University of East London, was found dead in Wanstead, east London.

A man was due to appear in court today charged with Miss Aronen's murder. Unemployed Jason Dockrill, 33, was due before magistrates at Redbridge, Scotland Yard said.

It is understood Ben was teaching English in Spain when Miss Aronen was found dead. He flew back to England on Friday.

David Butler, Miss Aronen's tutor said: "They were planning to start a life together in Finland once she graduated in June. They were clearly a committed couple."

Dockrill, of West Road, Stratford, London, is charged with three further alleged offences said to have taken place in Wanstead on Thursday.

He has been charged with the assault and attempted robbery of a 44-year-old woman, assaulting an 80-year-old woman and robbing a 56-year-old woman.
