Bognor boss Jack Pearce admits he is wary of an upset as his side chase derby points against lowly Worthing at Nyewood Lane tonight.

Rebels are in the bottom six of Ryman League division one south while Rocks are eyeing top spot.

Victory tonight will take Pearce's men just three points behind leaders Carshalton.

Pearce, who recalls strikers Scott Tipper and Richard Davies to the squad, admitted: "We have dominated so many home games without always getting the early goal we need. Funny things happen in derbies and Worthing's record here is very good."

Phil Churchill may be added to the squad for Worthing who, in a bizarre U-turn, are ready to offer a contract to midfielder Andy Walker, the player they released recently due, according to boss Barry Lloyd, to a lack of funds.

Eastbourne Borough will fancy their chances of closing the gap on leaders Bashley to one point when they travel to Erith and Belvedere in the Dr Martens eastern division.

The Kent outfit are 17th, but they have won their last three games including a 1-0 success at St Leonards on Saturday when Borough boss Garry Wilson and coach Nick Greenwood watched.

Greenwood said: "Promotion is in our hands which is the best situation to be in and we've just got to go up there and do our own stuff."
