The massive picture of the ugliest building I have yet seen made me immediately remark "What a bloody horrible sight" and my newsagent agreed wholeheartedly - and I do not normally swear in front of a lady.

The headline, "Endeavourest", made me think that perhaps a monolithic animal will come and devour it in one big mouthful.

Looking at the picture for some time, I think the building with the only ground floor and the three storeys above would be quite acceptable and fit in with the present height of the surrounding buildings.

I accept we have to have changes but do not feel we should be building more skyscrapers in Brighton, even though space is limited.

New ideas and designs need to be used in Brighton and I was pleased to see the details of the ice arena and other sports facilities for the disused Black Rock area.

Perhaps we will, at last, have up-to-date accommodation for many more sports. If we want to win gold medals in any Olympic Games or world championship sports, our young people need encouragement and facilities.

Perhaps we can change Brighton and Hove's image as the top place for drug culture into the top place for encouraging our young people into sport.
