An elderly woman had her handbag snatched last night.
The 66-year-old was targeted as she walked along Boundary Road, Worthing.
Police believe the incident may be connected to a similar crime in Southwick Green, at 5.30pm on Monday.
A man had run up to a 57-year-old woman and snatched her handbag out of her hands. During a struggle, the woman sustained a fractured elbow and the mugger drove away in a red Alfa Romeo.
Two people have been arrested in connection with last night's incident.
