Eastbourne returned to action after the Christmas break with a 2-1 defeat against Sutton Valence in Kent/Sussex division one.
Dan Hill put Eastbourne ahead in the first half from open play but Sutton levelled midway through the second half and, with Eastbourne reduced to nine men, they poached a winner seven minutes from time.
