An elderly woman pedestrian suffered broken bones and a head injury in an accident with a car in Lancing.
Grinstead Lane, in Lancing, was closed for two hours while police inspected the scene of the accident, which happened at 1.40pm yesterday.
The Nissan Sunny car was being driven by a 72-year-old man from Lancing who was not injured.
