Simon Rodger is aiming to maintain a remarkable run of success against Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow.

The Albion midfielder was in the winning side against them for Crystal Palace five times out of six in the last five seasons.

He scored at Hillsborough in a 3-1 victory in 1997-98, when both clubs were in the Premiership.

"It's a nice little record I've got against them," Rodger said. "I made my debut for Palace up there as well, so it's a nice ground for me.

"Hopefully that continues on Saturday. It's a massive game for the lads, a six-pointer really, so we'll be up for it."

Rodger plays, despite breaking his big left toe in the recent draw at Preston. He featured in the next two matches, against Nottingham Forest and Reading, and the damage was only discovered when he had an X-ray on Monday.

"It was a bit of a shock to me, because I thought nothing of it," he said. "It's still a bit sore, but they said I could train on it.

"I'm finding it hard at the moment because it is really annoying me, especially being my left foot as well. I can't really strike the ball, so it's a bit frustrating.

"It is going to take a bit of time for it to heal up, but I just want to be out there playing. It is uncomfortable, but when I am out there on Saturday the adrenalin will be pumping and I should be fine."
