Sussex under-15 and under-13 teams have qualified for the Team Challenge Regional badminton finals in Luton next March.
The under-15s, who are managed by John Floyd, won four of their five games in qualifying at Basingstoke against Kent (7-0), Guernsey (7-0), Hampshire (5-2) and Middlesex (4-3) before losing 5-2 to Surrey.
Squad: Sarah Leach, Sarah Boyce, Lauren Holness, Kirstine Read, Josh Miles, Kevin Gill, William Hilton Jackson and John Nolan.
The under-13s, managed by Sue and George Fraser, went through as runners-up to Hampshire after beating Guernsey (7-0), Surrey (5-1) and Middlesex (4-2). They drew 3-3 with Hampshire.
Squad: Kimberley George, Claire Bracuti, Kate Stephens, Bridget Townsend, Justine Thomson, Luke Thomson, William Hartington, Andrew Hartridge, Peter Dembrey and Tom Fenner.
