People in Sussex are being asked to help track down relatives of a homeless man who died after a fire.

It is thought the man, who was identified from his fingerprints as Barry Alexander Page, lived for part of his life in Worthing and had relatives in the town.

Mr Page, 57, was living rough in the Greenwich area of London until October.

He was found with severe burns to his lower body on October 10 after rolling on to a camp fire he had built.

He died in the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead.

Greenwich coroner's office is trying to contact any of Mr Page's relatives.

Coroner's officer Rachel Williams said: "We believe he may have had relatives living in Sackville Road in Worthing up until the mid-Nineties.

"Often the problem with homeless people is that they don't want to be found and it is hard to find any information about them.

"But it would be nice to piece some more information about Mr Page together if we can."

Mr Page was of heavy build, 5ft 2in, with black curly hair, a greying beard and moustache.

Anyone who may have known him is asked to call 0208 6918832.
