Horsham slipped to their first home defeat of the season after visitors Corinthian Casuals grabbed the only goal of the game deep into injury time.

And manager John Maggs was quick to criticise his side.

Maggs said: "No sooner do I start singing this team's praises and they seem to fall in a hole.

"We've fallen in a big hole today. It wasn't bad luck it was a bad performance.

"After a couple of big cup games they thought this was just another game and we had no appetite for it. I don't expect to lose games at home and we've lost to an ordinary side."

Casuals gave Horsham trouble from the start and as early as the second minute Iain Waghorn outjumped John Kirby at the far post to head wide.

The Hornets always looked vulnerable down the flanks and substitute Jamie Byatt broke through on the left in the 89th minute to flash a shot wide but Waghorn went one better from a similar position three minutes later, chipping the ball in after seeing it rebound off both posts.
