Elgar's magnificent oratorio on man's journey from life to death is given an outing by Sussex Symphony Orchestra and Brighton Festival Chorus.
Written in the first six months of 1900, it calls for a large orchestra and chorus and this is the SSO's first collaboration with the Festival Chorus.
Soloists include Andrew Rees, last seen on Channel Four singing in Jonathan Dove's opera tribute to Diane, Princess Of Wales, Death Of A Princess.
