Seasoned traveller Michael Palin charmed the crowds when he paid a quick visit to a book shop.
The former Monty Python star was in Eastbourne to promote his new travel book, Sahara, which describes his epic trek across the African desert.
Michael's new TV series of the same name has just started on BBC1.
Previous journeys have included trying to make it around the world in 80 days and travelling between the poles.
Hundreds of people queued up at Hammick's bookstore at the Arndale Centre yesterday to meet Michael and get their books signed.
He chatted with customers and posed for photos throughout his visit.
