The lovely little poem by Robert Burns "To a mouse", quoted by Nicki Bailey (Letters, October 11), is most apt and demonstrates the power of poetry to express deeply-felt emotions.
There are, unfortunately, always a few people - in this instance, living in Saltdean - too insensitive and selfish to understand what all the fuss is about.
