14th-century Verona. Two families at war. A pair of star-cross'd lovers. A tragic end? Not necessarily.
The Little Angel Theatre presents this adaptation of Shakespeare's most famous love story in the form of a chaotic troupe of puppets.
The company is one the few dedicated puppet theatres in the country and boasts its very own puppet workshop.
This inventive production introduces the themes, storyline and characters from the famous tale but plays with the original text and turns the story on its head.
Influenced by the Italian glove puppet tradition of the Commedia Dell Arte, it abounds with knockabout humour, moments of visual delight and live music.
And it may just give you the ending you had always dreamed of.
Tickets cost £4.50. Call 01273 647100.
