Being a keen non-league follower and a programme editor for a local club, I also like to visit other clubs when time permits.
On Tuesday, September 24, I visited Chessington and Hook United to see their home game with Withdean, a well-contested league game which the home team won 2-1.
However, on buying The Argus the next day and looking in the sports section, I saw but seven short lines about the game, presumably comments made by a Withdean official and not a reporter or independent spectator.
Over 90 minutes, a draw would have probably been a fair result but that was not to be and the description of the Chessington goals was a travesty. Come on Withdean, take the blinkers off or remove the £5 notes from in front of your eyes.
