A woman was killed and four people injured in a two-car crash at Kingsfold, near Horsham.
The 48-year-old driver of a Renault Clio was killed instantly in the crash in Marches Road at 8.50am yesterday.
Three passengers were taken to New East Surrey Hospital with multiple injuries.
The 36-year-old driver of the Land Rover Discovery involved in the crash was also injured and was taken to Worthing Hospital.
All the people involved in the accident are believed to live in Kingsfold.
The route was closed for five hours while emergency services dealt with the crash and cleared the road.
