Several blind pedestrians have asked me to help them cross the road at the traffic lights near George Street, Hove, at the Church Road end.
People who are blind and partially sighted say they are disadvantaged in not being able to hear the signal given when the green light is displayed, the reason being this area is particularly noisy.
They have also said this is a crossing they use frequently and are anxious because the lights change without sufficient time for them to cross.
I am sure it would be of great benefit to such people if the signal was made louder and the time changed to be a little longer at this busy crossing.
