Carol Ramsden (Letters, September 27) says the clock is ticking on the Labour administration in Brighton and Hove.
She clearly hopes for a return to Tory rule in the city next year.
With boundary changes and a cut in the number of councillors, on paper the Tories may already have almost as many seats as Labour but are pinning their hopes on Labour losing one or two marginals to the minor parties, the Greens and the Lib Dems.
Even if either of those parties was to double its representation, it would be nowhere near running the council.
So, whenever you hear people saying "vote Labour out" just think what they really mean: Vote in a Tory-run council.
Then think what that will mean - cuts in vital services, gridlock in the streets, car-parks dug under seafront squares and lawns, no investment in jobs, regeneration or education and no progress on sustainable environmental development.
Think very carefully about using your vote next May.
