Crawley boss Billy Smith is abandoning his three strikers policy and promising wholesale changes to the team which surrendered a seven-match unbeaten run in midweek.

Smith was furious when Reds conceded three set-piece goals at home to Dover on Tuesday after winning six and drawing the other of their previous seven games in the Dr Martens League premier division.

Peter Fear and Neil Le Bihan are almost certain starters in midfield at Halesowen tomorrow and Smith admits he has not made up his mind which two of his four strikers will form the attack.

Dover completed the double over Reds with Tuesday's 3-0 win and Smith came under fire again from a section of Crawley's notoriously hard-to-please support.

He said: "In general play they did not look as if they could score but we defended very poorly and basically gifted them their three goals.

"But the worst thing is that as a team we just did not seem to be up for it. The game was there for the taking at half-time and it looked as if our three strikers were resting on their laurels, they didn't appear to want to get on the end of things."

Goalkeeper Andy Little misses the trip to the Midlands because of a works' course so Smith has drafted in 20-year-old Tommy Dunn, who recently lost his place in Sutton United's first team, as a stop-gap replacement.

But with winger Nigel Brake fit, Smith has every outfield player available and striker Warren Bagnall can expect a starting place.
