Is the local government commission trying to wipe the memory of a very great man from the history books?
The commission at first only suggested boundary changes but the final report has also recommended a reduction in councillor numbers and my Churchill ward's name changing to Elms ward.
Why change the name from the name of a great man to the name of a tree?
My constituents are proud of our name and do not want to see it changed.
The taxpayers have enough expenses to cope with without having to pay for a needless change - and be assured, there will be costs.
-Coun Tony Strudwick, Brighton Road, Lancing
