I was dismayed to read the harsh comments by J Lyons on the contributions in the letters page by Gorden Dean on Hollywood supporting actors of the Thirties and Forties.

There are bound to be lots of older people who derive pleasure from these accounts, always accompanied by a photo.

I understand Gordon has included some British actors in the past, most of whom, like the Hollywood ones, would have been dead for many years.
