Last winter, West Sussex County Council achieved the furthest drop in delayed discharges from hospital of any county in the UK.
Currently, there are less than 50 older people throughout West Sussex whose discharge from hospital is being delayed.
This success is due to the on-going commitment of West Sussex County Council Social and Caring Services staff and NHS colleagues to continue to work closely together to tackle this problem.
Their commitment, however, was not reflected in your front-page story (The Argus, August 1), which may have inadvertently misled readers in West Sussex.
