Brighton is to host major talent with the launch of Tess Garraway's In2it night.

The singer took up a vocal scholarship at Toronto's Royal Conservatory of Music and has toured in pop bands and worked as an actress.

She is a fixture in London clubs with her own quartet, runs a successful jazz club and is ready to take the live scene in a new direction.

Tess has become a favoured singer for legendary funk drummer Bernard "Pretty" Purdie and is to sing on his next CD.

This Sunday, she will be joined by guitarist John Etheridge, a towering figure who leads the Zappatistas and has played with Pat Metheny and Dizzy Gillespie.

Resident at In2it is Brighton's own multi-instrumental talent Joss Peach.

Tess has lined up some bright talent including saxophonists Christian Brewer and Pete Wareham and drum wizard Seb Rochford.
