The Inland Revenue has launched a campaign to encourage people to submit tax returns early.
The self-assessment advertising campaign, featuring Tomorrow's World presenter Adam Hart-Davis, reminds the public if they get their returns in before September 30, the Inland Revenue will calculate how much tax they need to pay.
During the campaign, Mr Hart-Davis appears in a variety of situations showing the help that is available from the Inland Revenue for people completing tax returns.
The Revenue hopes to encourage people to take advantage of the internet filing service and reminds them they face a £100 penalty if they do not submit their return by January 31, as well as interest and surcharges on tax not paid before that date.
