Most workers are unhappy with their managers and not impressed with the leadership qualities of their employers.

Lack of trust was the main cause of dissatisfaction among 1,000 workers polled by management development firm OPP.

Only two out of five people were satisfied with the quality of leadership in their organisation. Fewer believed that leadership in the UK as a whole had improved in the last ten years. Executives with good skills at influencing and persuading staff were valued more than managers with a traditional command and control style.
