Ian Hills (Letters, July 23) is right to express concern over the loss of full public control of council housing but it is not just the concern of council tenants.
We should all be interested in keeping council housing in the control of the elected council, as well as pressing for the right for councils to build more housing and to see an end to the sale of this vital resource.
On the last point, it is good to see signals from the Government that it is thinking of removing the right to buy.
