What's the best web site in Brighton and Hove? Now you can decide.

The second annual Brighton & Hove Virtual Festival Web Awards are designed to recognise the best web sites made in our own special silicon city.

Mark Walker, who organises the Virtual Festival, said: "Last year's Virtual Festival Web Awards attracted over 500 votes for the 87 nominated sites and confirmed our view that there are some great web sites being made here in Brighton and Hove.

"The winning sites ranged from the excellent Brighton Racecourse site to Sharkbait - a page for local surfers - with The Brighton Curry Guide and Insight Magazine also winning.

"Anyone can nominate their favourite site for the awards by visiting the Virtual Festival web page - you can even nominate your own site if you want."

Nominations are open until May 17, the public can vote until the end of June and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony later in the summer.

So get online now and let us know what you think is the cream of the local cyber crop.

VF2002 Web Awards are supported by thisisbrightonandhove.co.uk and O'Reilly Books. For more details visit www.virtualfestival.org.uk
