A replica of the car which set the world land speed record 100 years ago was the star attraction at an East Sussex motor festival.

The original Serpollet 'Easter Egg' reached 74mph in 1902.

The car went on show at the three-day Bexhill 100 International Festival of Motoring.

It was among the star attractions at the seafront festival, said to be one of the largest in the South.

Hundreds of vintage, veteran, classic, rally, racing, American, kit and custom vehicles were on show from across the world.

Also wowing the crowds was Russ Swift, one of the world's leading precision drivers.
