The second of a two-part exhibition of abstract paintings, featuring Luke Skiffington and Simon Pearson.
Skiffington studied at Goldsmiths College and won the Neville Burston Award for most outstanding young artist.
His love of the mechanics of painting is reflected in his work.
To create his abstract canvases, he takes cross sections of familiar paintings by artists such as Caravaggio and magnifies microscopic details, exposing the painting process.
Pearson studied art at Central Saint Martins. His paintings explore the idea of metamorphosis, using both synthetic and natural materials.
Start is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Call 01273 233984 or visit www.startgallery.co.uk
