Worthing could consider themselves a little unlucky to go down 3-2 at home to Bromley in a lively division one contest.

The visitors, who were 2-0 up when their original trip to Woodside Road was abandoned earlier in the season, went one better this time.

That interval scoreline was harsh on Rebels, who played some nice stuff going forward but were guilty of poor marking as Kwabena Amaning struck in the first minute and Mark Harris powered home a 34th minute header.

Carl Bartley looked a yard offside when he helped home Grant Watts' pass for the third four minutes later.

Rebels were more direct after the break and it took them just ten minutes to get back into the game thanks to sharp six yard box finishes from Mark Knee and Gavin Geddes.

Gavin Jones and Wes Lopez both tested keeper Danny Harwood and Paul Kennett fired over as Rebels hunted in vain for an equaliser.

Worthing boss Barry Lloyd admitted: "I could have shot all of them at half time but they went back out and showed tremendous character. It was like chalk and cheese."
