Eastbourne Borough drew 1-1 with high-flying Dorchester Town in an entertaining eastern division game at Priory Lane.

With Dorchester chasing promotion and Borough looking to claim fifth spot, it promised to be a cracking game.

But it started slowly and it took 20 minutes to really get going.

Stuart Tuck tested former Brighton keeper Mark Ormerod with a 30 yard free kick and Mark Radcliffe made a last-ditch tackle to deny John Westcott.

Dorchester looked dangerous on the attack and both Danny O'Hagen and Matt Groves spurned chances.

And just before the break Borough's Paul Stevens, who was making his 300th appearance, was forced to clear off the line from Andy Harris.

Six minutes after the break Borough took the lead.

Michael White failed to clear on the edge of the area and Mark Goodwin took full advantage to slot the ball through Ormerod's legs.

Dorchester were struggling to create anything but suddenly on 72 minutes they equalised through former AFC Bournemouth winger Justin Keeler completely against the run of play.

The game turned frantic in the last 20 minutes with Dorchester chasing the three points they desperately needed but no goals came and both teams settled for a draw.
